Emma Nickel is a Freshman at PLHS. She has been participating in Girl Scouts since Kindergarten at Silver Gate and has formed deep bonds with her sister Girl Scouts. Participating in Girl Scouts and going to camp each year, are only some of Emma’s passions. She also loves theatre and learning sign language. She is thankful to be part of such a diverse and passionate community. Although she struggled to find an idea for her Silver award, she eventually found a topic she was passionate about. For her project, she is helping with the construction and improvement of the Inner North Star Retreat in Julian for Soldiers suffering from PTSD.
