Badges

Girl Scout badges are a great way for a girl to explore her interests and learn new skills—and to remember every adventure and show the world what she’s accomplished.

What is she passionate about? Does she dream of making her own movie, cooking food from a different country, or going geocaching? Sleeping under the stars, writing a book of short stories, or planting a garden?

Or maybe she wants to invent something new, paint a masterpiece, or learn about endangered wildlife. Star in a play, design a website, or go kayaking. Even turn her bedroom into a jungle, run a successful business, or go on an amazing trip.

Well guess what? At Girl Scouts, she can do all that and more, and earn Girl Scout badges as she goes!

Journeys

If you’re looking for an even deeper experience, take a Journey! You’ll explore new things, connect with friends and your community, and make a difference in the world.

Team up with friends to:

  • Identify a problem you want to do something about.
  • Come up with a creative solution that will make a difference.
  • Create a team plan to make that solution a reality.
  • Put your plan into action.
  • Talk about what you’ve learned and what you’ll do next.

Every Girl Scout program level has several Journey series to choose from, each including a sustainable Take Action project and all the exploration, discovery, and adventure to power a lifetime of leadership and success!

When girls complete badges and Journeys, they learn about:

  • Civic Engagement
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Financial Literacy
  • Community Service
  • …and, so much more!

All three awards give girls the chance to do big things while supporting issues they care about. As you earn one of Girl Scouts’ highest awards, you’ll change your corner of the world—and beyond. The possibilities are endless.

Gold Award

  • The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Once achieved, it shows colleges, employers, and your community that you’re out there changing the world.

Bronze Award

  • The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. Girls work together to complete a Bronze Award Take Action project that is meaningful to them. Through the project, they’ll learn leadership, work with people in their community, build confidence, and develop skills—all while making the world a better place.
