Who we are
We are Peninsula Girl Scouts, Service Unit 619, part of Girl Scouts San Diego. This page discloses the privacy practices for PeninsulaGirlScouts.org.
What data we collect and what we do with it
We use this site to support our Service Unit’s events and FUNraising activities, and we allow leaders, Girl Scouts, and their friends, family, and other local residents to donate toward our money-earning goals. In the process of selling products and collecting donations, the site may collect names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, and store it in a database. We use that information ourselves to carry out specific tasks related to the Service Unit’s money-earning campaigns and efforts. We do not (and will not) ever share or sell that information to any third parties.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order or carry out a service request.
We request information from you during our checkout process. To donate to us or buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we may use this information to contact you.
As a part of our money-earning efforts, this site may employ third-party payment processing gateways which collect and process names, billing addresses, and credit/debit card or bank information. We do not store any payment information on this site or server, other than a label or reference to the means by which a donation or payment was made. This information is only used in the event we need to provide support to or answer questions from the person who made the donation or payment, and only about their own transaction.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new money-earning campaigns, news updates, new offerings or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
