OTM Sendoff and Family Festival

Friday, April 14, 6-9 p.m.
USS Midway Museum
910 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101
Cost: $5

Everyone (family, friends, troops, and more!) is invited aboard the USS Midway Museum for an exciting evening on the flight deck, featuring music, interactive booths, and a patriotic pep rally honoring the Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM) Program, our troops, and Elite Cookie Entrepreneurs.

Salute our military as we celebrate shipping packages of Girl Scout Cookies to deployed troops and veterans! Bring a picnic dinner or enjoy food from the concession stand, take photos with costumed cookie characters, shop at the onsite Girl Scout shop, visit community partner booths, and explore the Midway Museum after hours!

Since 2002, Girl Scouts have participated in collecting cookie packages for Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM), a local Girl Scout service project that originated in San Diego. Our Girl Scout troops and their generous cookie customers have sent over 3.8 million packages of America’s favorite cookies and countless notes of support to deployed troops serving around the world. At the end of each cookie season, Girl Scouts come together to celebrate sending off the cookies to our military service members.

Important information: Registration

Brownies and Juniors are invited to register for this interactive workshop where girls learn how authors write their stories.
Books are a huge part of how we learn about the world around us, yet not all people or stories are represented in the books found in our homes, libraries, and schools. Help us change that! Brought to you by Generation We and Ak Classics.
Girls will have the opportunity to explore what inspires them, share with others, put those ideas into their own book, and even get them published. Each attendee will get to choose a book to take home at the end of the workshop and earn a Fun Patch this Generation We workshop.

* This is NOT a drop-off event *

This event will be located at Girl Scouts Balboa Campus.

For any questions contact Catherine Ruwell at cruwell@sdgirlscouts.org.
